OSe · a screenless laptop

mis

Ose is designed to be ultra-transportable. This computer is protected by a rubber skin in which the keyboard is integrated into. This soft keyboard also integrates existing marks for the blind.

mis

Given the importance of sound in this project, we intend to place the speakers just beneath the rubber-keyboard so that we can "touch the sound".

mis

The rubber skin opens up in order to give access to connection plugs. Ose has a DVI video output, allowing non-blind people to connect any screen and use a standard graphic interface.

mis

Taking advantage of removing the screen, we designed a sturdy and very nomadic computer. Ose is wrapped into a SB-Rubber protective skin offering high-quality tactile sensibility.

mis

Ose opens up like a briefcase and you can even scan A4 documents with the built-in scanner. A scanner is an essential component for blind people. It allows them to have access to documents, thanks to type recognition and vocal synthesis. There are guides inside the rubber-skin, helping to position a A4 paper doc for scanning.

mis

Put it directly in your bag without any additional protective skin.
With headphones plug into the Bluetooth remote, it's now possible to access and naviguate through all your data, listening to music or an audio book without even taking your computer out of the bag.
